Oświęcim is located between the Silesian agglomeration and the heart of Małopolska - Krakow,  at a short distance to the attractive tourist places.
In the rich tourist offer of Oświęcim area certainly should be Muzeum Małopolski Zachodniej in Wygiełzów together with the ruins of the Lipowiec Castle. Nadwiślański Ethnographic Park covers a total of about 5 acres. This is a special place where you can come into contact with traditional folk culture of the region - represented by inhabitants of local villagers and towns -  Western Krakowiak. The Castle Lipowiec - built in the early fourteenth century, the former seat of the Bishops of Krakow and a valuable example of medieval defensive architecture.

Nearby Beskid Mały, in the Inwałd village, everyone can make a journey around the world in one day. In the Miniature Park, which exists here, guests are walking by paths and wandering from country to country, are watching the most famous buildings in the world.  You'll find here about 50 models of famous architectural structures, such as: the Acropolic Temple, the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, St Peter’s Basilica, the Statue of Liberty, the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, the Triumphal Arc, the Big Ben, the Sphinx or the White House. For those who are still expecting strong emotions are waiting: amusement park, the journey simulator, films in technology 5D or  the labyrinth formed by growing shrubs.

Only 30 km from Oswiecim is  the place, which is importance on each pilgrim’s map, and also for those, who are fascinated by figure of the great Pole - Pope John Paul II. Just in Wadowice Karol Wojtyla spent his childhood and  early youth. At 7 Kościelna Street is a house where once Wojtyłowie lived with his son and where he was born. After the election of Karol Wojtyla as a Pope's, family house was converted into a museum. The exhibition includes a series of memorabilia and exhibits related to the person of the John Paul II. The tourists can feel the atmosphere of the papal town  by visiting historic fifteenth-century Basilica of St. Mary, or tasting the famous Wadowice cream cake.

Excellent transport connections between Oświęcim and Kraków allow to reach the capital of the region less than 1.5 hours. The former royal city can be rightly name of cultural and scientific center. Until the seventeenth century  the capital of Poland, currently  one of the most visited city by local and foreign tourists. Being in Kraków do not miss Europe's largest market square, including the Cloth Hall - where you can buy regional souvenirs and try the local cuisine, and also St. Mary's Church with the famous altar by Vit Stwosz and tall towers, from which hourly bugle call sounds and a monument of national poet Adam Mickiewicz.

The tourists visiting Cracow should also see  the Royal Castle overlooking the Old Town on the Wawel hill. Within its area there is the cathedral - one of the most important national shrines and places of coronation and burial of the kings. Visiting Cracow you cannot forget about located in the vicinity the underground salt cities such as Wieliczka and Bochnia. The medieval salt mines are not only a tourist attraction, with mazes of chambers and tunnels, but also health resorts. The specific microclimate of salt chambers has a salutary effect on health and wellbeing.

Enthusiasts of mountain hiking and winter sports can get with no problems from Oświęcim to Zakopane - the winter capital of Poland, which offers a wide range of outdoor activities both summer and winter.  Frequently visited  Kościeliska or Chocholowska Valley and Morskie Oko lake invite for walking tours. The ski runs of Kasprowy Wierch are a challenge for skiers. Many tourists are attracted by the unique and original architecture, interesting exhibitions and unrepeatable beauty and nature of the Tatras. Being in Zakopane you absolutely should have a walk by Krupówki  - the main street in the town - you can drink here  a coffee or eat a regional dish  in one of the many restaurants. Going in the direction of Zakopane, take the advantage of opportunities for relaxation and water attractions offered by the thermal pools in Bukowina Tatrzańska and Bialka Tatrzańska. Geothermal, mineralized water extracted from a depth of 3,000 meters, has many medicinal properties, which can be used in an attractive form. There are numerous swimming pools with hydro massage accessories, water caves and grottos, jacuzzi and sauna.
